Owen County Clay Township Trustee Karen Freeman will host a public meeting at 6 p.m. Saturday October 13th on a state project to straighten and flatten Ind. 43. The meeting will be at the Kenny Bland Auction Pavilion in Whitehall.
Freeman said State Sen. John Waterman, R-Shelburn, plans to attend and Indiana Department of Transportation representatives have been invited. She said the meeting will let area residents air concerns about how convenience, safety and emergency services are affected by the state's decision to close the road for construction
