SPENCER- Owen County Sheriff's Dept is investigating an accidental death of an Owen county man on Schoolhouse Rd near the Owen/Monroe border.
76 year old Charles E Nikirk of rural Spencer died when he became trapped under the tractor after rolling into a small ditch. Nikirk was working in a field behind his residence when his wife found him at 6:41pm.
Owen County deputy coroner Steve Pedigo pronounced Nikirk dead at the scene.
